Maureen McNeal is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She has been in practice since 1988 and has served hundreds of clients. Maureen’s focus is not just the management of symptoms, she believes maladaptive core beliefs must be identified and re-scripted, as well as trauma and shame resolved, for there to be lasting change. Her current focus of study involves the impact of neurology on personal and interpersonal dynamics. Maureen has a passion for facilitating the formation of strong healthy families. She works with individuals, couples, families, and step-families. She integrates her family systems perspective in all the work she does. Maureen is also an experienced trauma therapist and treats sexual abuse, severe and complex trauma (PTSD), spiritual abuse, dissociative disorders, and eating disorders. Working with people who have not only been abused but live with the physical, mental and emotional consequences it is something Maureen has extensive training and experience in. Maureen’s focused, compassionate style creates the safety needed for this work. Healing trauma and the transformation that occurs gives Maureen incredible satisfaction.
